I hope you will be very happy in Carmel. May Jesus keep you with Him forever! Remember us in your prayers, Brandee. Thank you for all the good you have done in your videos and blog. Thank you! :)

Dear Brandee. You will probably never read this. But thank you for your example and for your prayers. Mother Mary has accepted me into her Immaculate Heart. What a blessing. Pray for me. Pray for all of us. Pray for the young women of your generation. Pray for the young men also. You are a shining light for us. You are a sign and a witness to Christ's love. God bless you.

could you ask your family to upload pictures when you receive your veil? Prayers!

I´ll be praying for you, esp. now - I read on Phatmass that you left Carmel...
ALWAYS PRAYERS FOR YOU!!!!

Brandee, you are still the best. Well I hope you will continue your online ministry. But there is no pressure. Take whatever time you need. Just know that you have our undying support and love. You are still who you are and God loves you. Remember that Jesus always tests our faith before granting a miracle. Take a look at Sister Faustina and how she had to struggle to have a convent accept her. Hopefully you have a good spiritual director that will help you get through this. Keep a diary of your thoughts and pray the Rosary. Pray to Blessed Jacinta of Fatima. She will pray for you. Send your petitions to Our Lady of Fatima. Keep praying the Rosary. Keep the best of you which is your optimism and enthusiasm and make it better. We missed you and never stopped thinking about you and praying for you.

Yours in Christ,
Michael.

First I want to thank you for yo web sites, it helped me a lot in my faith life.

This summer I prayed for you at St. Therese home in Avila, and I think she always listen to us.

In this moment I only want to advise you to only love Him every day with all of your heart, and look what He wants to do with your live instead of what do you want to do for Him in your live.

Don't forget what St Therese said about that when we begin a journey to meet Him, He has already did the most of the way to meet you.

Excuse my bad English, because I'm Spaniard, an thanks now again.

I'll pray for you

You're back? Oh yeah, big surprise there. That's the likely outcome when you run off to a monastery after just joining the Church, with no time to mature, no spiritual direction, etc. So much for acting like a Carmelite nun before anything was even for sure. Time to get off your pedestal. Time to stop letting all these praises and blind support get to your head.

Brandee, please do not be disheartened over what Bite Me said. I am sure they were only attempting to say the right thing for you out of concern, but spoke it in the incorrect way. If you can, please forgive them if what they had said hurt you. I hope you had a good time with the Carmelites. God bless! :)

You know, I am really getting annoyed with the amount of times this specific person is trying to ruin discernment for Brandee just because she is not getting her way. If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all! :(

You really don't get it. I'm not saying all that cuz I'm not getting my way. I just have a problem with the way she was with her "acceptance" into Carmel. How very presumptuous to proclaim that you'll enter that community when you haven't even visited them yet. She made herself out to be a Carmelite nun already, when nothing was confirmed. She always said things like "Oh God wants me so much, He wants me right now, He can't wait!" and now that she's back, she said on a forum how she feels God does not want her right now. Hmm, way to get ahead of yourself then. When I tried to caution her to slow down, I became the evil monster. Very well, have it your way then. You people certainly didn't help by showering her with praise and admiration, unquestioningly. You all had a part in leading her on and coddling her. Nobody thought to warn her about going for too much too soon. So yeah, I sound like a mean jerk but I have a point. I've seen too many similar stories.

Sorry, but your smugness got to me too, with your silly "holy girl" attitude....I just lacked the courage to say it openly...a lot of us thought that you're not mature but we never publicly said anything (on phatmass) In hindsight, that's regrettable because you just go on thinking you have everyone's undying support. As an old lady who has entered religious life as a teenager, no proper order would take on such an immature girl.

I've followed your posts on phatmass and your videos and here's my 2 cents: too immature and too romantic. Giggling like a schoolgirl in love, obsessing over religious trinkets, and being infatuated with the order does not make a Carmelite, not necessarily.

It's always easy to dismiss someone's opinion as harsh, mean spirited criticism, because I'll bet nobody loves to hear negative things. But sometimes it does us good to take that in and see where that's coming from. Brandee, I don't like the harsh tone this BM person takes with you, but he or she does have a point.....even though it's hard to hear. I guess my point is, don't just listen to the choir singing a hymn of praise for you, take in the unpopular opinion as well.

If someone goes around banging their drums loudly, it's gonna attract attention, positive AND negative. If you go around showing off your identity as a Carmelite like a badge of honor, when you're not an ACTUAL Carm. nun, then it's gonna rub some people the wrong way. It's not nice at all for them to take such a nasty attitude but I guess they can't help but gloat when your well-publicized plan backfires. Don't wanna pass any more judgement about whether you were right to assume immediate entrance or if you're mature or not. It's just that, if you look at any public platform (eg. youtube) there's bound to be negative comments. You cannot avoid the scrutiny when you put yourself out there like that. So I hope you learn something about publicizing yourself as something you're not...yet. A lesson in humility is useful for anyone.

BM, if you are the same person who keeps posting on this and other sites of Brandee's, yes we did have a right to be concerned for taking things a little too quickly, but honestly, is that any of our business? Do we know God's plan for her? Leave her alone, in peace to discern, please. It's a bit obsessive how you take so much interest in one particular person and post rude comments on multiple sites regarding her. Please, for the love of our Lord that you have to do His will, let Brandee grow in her faith and discernment from this experience. Don't criticize. Love. And honestly, mind your own business. She shares very openly, yes, and sometimes that's not always prudent to do, but let her learn and grow from this as patiently as Your Father in heaven waits for you. My prayers are with you.

Trust me, Anonymous@4:44pm, BM or whoever is not the only one who feels that way. There're a number of us on phatmass who don't post openly anymore but we talk in PM. And yeah of course it's none of our business, but if we see something that concerns us, shouldn't something be said? Yes we don't know God's plan for her but does that mean we should just leave her alone without ever giving a second opinion? Life is not a vacuum. We need to hear other people's opinion, whether we like it or not.

I wish all of you would just stop pestering this girl. Leave her alone, for heaven's sake! Why in the world are you all obsessed with her? What could you possibly gain from thwarting and badgering her like you do? Do you have any idea at all what discernment is like? It is not a cut and dry process. If you had any idea, you would realize that what you are saying can hurt a vocation. It's amazing to me how much negativity has popped up in the last few days. How would you like it if someone kept badgering you over a sensitive subject? Think of the Golden Rule...Sheesh!

Ok, I'm also an aspiring Carmelite so I think I can share my own experience here. I'm in love with the order, I swoon over everything about them. I've wanted to get accepted so much, and I think it'd be so great, spending my days in contemplation and in the presence of our Lord. So yeah, I think a lot like Brandee. But then I hear all these people with their views, and these are from my own godmother, my spiritual director, my friends. They all have things to say, like, "you really need to think this through cuz it's so much tougher than you imagine" "it's all these women stuck together in a place all the time, it's like a cagefight" "are you sure you can handle all that silence and austerity" so on and so forth. Do I like to hear all that? NO. It upset me so much. I was like, these are my own people, why don't they support me??? The emotional side of me doesn't want to hear it but it really got the rational side of me thinking. It really made me think a lot more carefully, like can I handle such a "simple" life, I can't pick my own food, or watch TV, go on the internet...can't go anywhere for the rest of my life, etc. It was very sobering and though I hate waiting, I know I can't rush it. And as much as it sucks to hear all that stuff, and sometimes I resent people for saying it, I know I need to listen. Sorry this is so long :)

Dear Others,

I understand where some of you are coming from, although I don't necessarily agree with it. I believe there's a way to get your point across without being rude. Some of you are being cold and callous (in my opinion)

Dear Brandee,

I saw your video on YouTube about your return from Carmel. I will be praying for you while you discern your vocation some more. I sincerely hope that you will not let any of these mean comments get to you. Many of us support you and are praying for you (I am)

God bless,
Rachael

I just want to say all of these negative comments and I mean every last one of them are from one person. Note how all of the negative comments were one after the other, within a few minutes of each other. First read BiteMe's comment, and then read all of the others and see how much they all sound alike. So I'm not going to say anything to her. I know in my heart I have done nothing wrong. When I make my videos, I tell the world how much I am in love with our Lord. So, if someone doesn't like what I'm saying, then they shouldn't watch my videos.

If you think I'm the only one who thinks that way about you, you're wrong. Keep telling yourself that I'm the only "evil" one if it makes you feel better. I'm sure your minions will support you unconditionally...and that's what you love anyway, people who will always take your side, tell you nice things. Guess what, that's not how it works in the real world. I don't care if you listen to any voices of dissent anymore...I sure have heard enough of that from people on phatmass, whether you believe it or not. That's ok, it's your life. But let me just say one thing: people who only say nice things to you may not have your best interests in mind. They're just too cowardly about ruffling feathers and telling it like it is. That leads to false hopes and people getting a puffed up view of themselves. And btw, people have a right to watch your vids when they're up there on the internet for the WORLD to see. And they have a right to dislike something. Nobody's obligated to like anything you put up, so grow up.
Plus, let's get one thing straight: your videos weren't merely about how much you're in love. You were talking about how you're ACCEPTED by your community, by all your sisters, and you were gonna ENTER, like for sure. Well, were you ever "for sure"? I mean, it was just a visit/live-in. How did you know you were entering for sure? Therein lies the problem for so many of us, whether you choose to believe me or not.

BM, I want to know why you are so critical of someone you have never met in the real world. Why are you so negative towards her? What did she ever do to you? Why are you obsessing over her vocation?

I honestly believe that you are the same person who keeps posting negative comments here. You may keep denying it, but it is one after the other in a matter of minutes. Do you have multiple personalities or something?

I've seen your posts at Phatmass. Though I am not registered there (and don't intend to be), I see that you were one time thinking about becoming a nun yourself. If you think anyone would accept you with this negative attitude, think again. You really need to take a long, hard look at yourself and ask yourself if everything you are accusing the OP of is something you are guilty of, not her. Your posts are full of pride, not hers. She has every right to defend herself against your attacks, but you act like she isn't allowed to. There is something sick in the way you write about everything like you know it all...
